 The Connecticut Sun put up a strong fight against the Las Vegas Aces last night, but the Aces pulled away late for a 101-94 victory at Mohegan Sun Arena. A’ja Wilson delivered a dominant performance with 45 points for Las Vegas, while Chennedy Carter added 18 points to help the Aces improve to 3-1 on the season. Connecticut showed plenty of heart, rallying in the third quarter behind back-to-back three-pointers from Saniya Rivers to cut the deficit to just two points, but the Aces responded with a big scoring run to seal the win. Rookie guard Hailey Van Lith led the Sun with 17 points, and Aaliyah Edwards made her season debut after returning from injury. Despite the loss, the Sun showed energy and determination against one of the WNBA’s top teams.

     The Connecticut Sun faced a tough challenge last night as they fell to the Las Vegas Aces by a score of 98-69 at Mohegan Sun Arena. Chennedy Carter led the Aces with 27 points, while A’ja Wilson added a strong double-double performance to help Las Vegas pull away in the second half. Despite the loss, the Sun continued to battle hard, with Aneesah Morrow recording a double-double and Olivia Nelson-Ododa adding solid scoring for Connecticut. The game showed the team’s determination as they continue working to improve early in the WNBA season.

The CIAC oversees high school sports programs across Connecticut, providing structure, organization, and regulation for a wide variety of sports at both the varsity and junior varsity (JV) levels. 

          ECC Sports

           ECC Sports refers to the Eastern Connecticut Conference (ECC), a high school athletic league that includes schools from the eastern region of Connecticut. The ECC governs and organizes a wide range of sports competitions for its member high schools. The league provides opportunities for students to compete at a high level, with a focus on sportsmanship, teamwork, and fair competition. 

          CIAC Unified Sports

           CIAC Unified Sports is a unique and inclusive program offered by the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC), designed to provide opportunities for students with and without intellectual disabilities to participate together in competitive sports. Unified Sports promotes social inclusion by allowing athletes of all abilities to train, practice, and compete as teammates in a variety of sports.
